Ayurveda is considered by many to be the oldest medicine. The ayurveda is more than 5000 years old and is descended from the historical Vedic culture over thousands of years and was taught through oral transmission. Ayurveda has great value to disease prevention and encourages the maintaining the health through emphasis on balance in a person's life, rightful thinking, diet, life style and use of herbs. Kerala (South India) is well known for its Ayurvedic resorts. In this documentary, we follow people who specifically travel to Kerala to receive Ayurvedic treatments. Which treatments? And what happens to their body? Most treatments are given within the Ayurveda massages with different oils that are made on the basis of different herbs, metals, rocks and minerals. In this two-part documentary we follow Petra. She has a busy job, but visits India every year, and is undergoing an Ayurvedic treatment. According to Petra, she finds rest, peace and energy in the Ayurvedic resort, which will help her in her busy life. What treatments does she receive? What happens to her in the resort? And what treatments give her that energetic feeling? Edwin has received the Ayurvedic treatment as a gift from his girlfriend.
