Its hard to describe this ladys creative output over her multiple decade-spanning career as anything short of prodigious. In numbers, that means Asha Bhonsles the official record holder for being the most-recorded singer in history with 13000 recorded songs, as acknowledged by the World Record Academy. A little earlier, her album Precious Platinum made it to the Top 100 World Music Albums of all time. And shes now collaborated with her grandson Chin2 Bhonsle (anyone recall the Band of Boys?) and he sure is excited about it. So how did it come about? Ive been aware of his career and I know how tough it is, having been through the grind myself. In this field, there are so many singers with great voices. Very few actually get a break.
