Local Delhi Cases

You can make donations of any size at: friendicoes.org Please specify your interest in the equine program, as the website is a bit outdated. Horses are kept relatively well here at this stand near the Red Fort and Jama Masjid mosque in Old Delhi. There is plenty of shade, water, hay, and a farrier. Men even groom the horses' legs with hay and use burlap sacks as fly sheets. Many horses are larger than the usual TN Walker type of breed most common in India and look as if they have been crossed with the Hanovarian line the PM imported as a gift. Cases include abscessed tooth, neck, hobble wounds, maggot wounds, thrush, lameness, upper respiratory infections, possible strangles, and general first aid.
